To set up VAT in WooCommerce, you have to log in to your WordPress Dashboard.
Please follow these steps:
Go to WooCommerce Settings:
Click on "WooCommerce" in the left menu and then select "Settings"
Activate VAT:
Go to the "General" tab.
Find the option "Enable tax" and make sure it is checked.
Save the changes.
VAT Settings:
Navigate to the "Tax" tab.
Under "Prices entered with tax" choose whether prices are entered with or without VAT.
VAT Rates:
Go to the "Tax" tab.
Here, you can select standard rates and set different VAT percentages.
If you want additional VAT rates, such as for One Stop Shop, you need to set a rate for each EU country.
Enter the 2-letter country code (e.g., DK for Denmark) under "Country Code"
Enter the VAT rate with four decimal places (e.g., 25.0000 for 25%) under "Rate %"
Enter a name for the tax (e.g., tax or VAT) under "Tax Name"
If the VAT is used in combination with another tax rate, check "Compound"
If VAT applies to shipping, check "Shipping"
Click "Insert Row" to add new rates.
Save the changes.
Display VAT in the Store:
Under the "Tax" tab, choose how VAT should be displayed in your store, both in prices and at checkout.
Adjust the settings as desired.
After completing these steps, then your WooCommerce should be set up to handle VAT. For further customizations or specific requirements, contact your web bureau or the team managing your WooCommerce.
